PROLOGUE

There still remains a lack of the necessary details to firmly establish the theory that some form of deity created the human species in our present form.

Similarly, there still remains a lack of conclusive details to firmly establish the theory that the human species evolved over a prolonged period of time from a lower form of life.

Finally, there still remains a lack of the necessary details to firmly establish the existence of a deity that has been called by a variety of names throughout the history of human kind.

Therefore, such theories have proceeded based not upon knowledge and concrete demonstrable facts and evidence, but on fanciful tales, superstitions, and lack of concrete data which would make the unknown familiar and thereby known. There are those of human kind who profess to know the "facts" and "details" that explain the various natural phenomena, and such people use that unsupported basis to exploit others of the human kind.

"In the beginning", primeval humankind was faced by all of the natural phenomena, which are known to present day human kind. There are a number of such phenomena that are unknown to present day human kind, but primeval human kind lacked the present commonplace knowledge that explains how most of these phenomena arise. There were no explanations for such occurrences as earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, droughts, monsoons, rainstorms, thunder and lightning, the change of seasons, or other happenings that we now term as natural phenomena because of our commonplace knowledge.

Primeval humankind could recognize the tremendous force and destruction that could characterize such natural phenomena, and they could also recognize that such power was far beyond anything that primeval humankind possessed, and this led to the naming of superhuman forms and forces. It was these superhuman forms and forces that came to be recognized and accepted as a variety of "gods" and "goddesses", and the worship of these "gods" and "goddesses" came to be called by the term we know today as "religions." One thing that was held in common in early human history was the tendency to give their particular "gods" and even animals human attributes, or what is called ANTHROPOMORPHISM.

The Hebrews were not the first of the humankind to advocate the idea of a single "god" or "God", rather that idea had occurred early on in human history and advanced by earlier civilizations, which, first, had a dominant god in the pantheon of gods, and, secondly, in Egypt, wherein there was a brief period in which a Pharaoh worshiped only one "God", and the Sun was the manifestation of that "God." Could that have been the basis for the later "Son (Sun) of God"?

Since this is a review of the alleged Books of Moses, essentially it has to do with the beliefs of the ancient Hebrew people as expressed in those books.

There has been a diffusion of the ancient Hebrew blood, which has seemingly now been thinned out to almost non-existence due to the various actions taken in regard to dispersing the Hebrews.

In broad general terms, it would be appropriate to begin with the Assyrians, who, in 722 B.C., conquered the northern ten tribes of Hebrew, who were known as the kingdom of Israel, and the Assyrians dispersed the ten tribes to an area between the Caspian and Black Seas. It has been stated that the Assyrians deported more than twenty seven thousand Hebrew people, who became the "Lost Ten Tribes of Israel"! Civilization In The Western World, J.R. Major, R. Scranton, G.P. Cuttino, 2d ed., J.B. Lippincott Co. New York, 66, 1971.

In 586 B.C., the Babylonians took the remaining Hebrew tribes of Judah and Benjamin in the number of fifty thousand were taken into captivity to Babylon! Civilization In The Western World, J.R. Major, R. Scranton, G.P. Cuttino, 2d ed., J.B. Lippincott Co. New York, 67, 1971.

The Hebrews were released by Cyrus, but it took them some time to rebuild the Temple. From 539-332 B.C. the Hebrews were under the Persian rule. In 332 B.C. Alexander the Great conquered the Holy Land and later under the Ptolemies of Egypt. In 63 B.C. the Hebrews became a protectorate of the Roman Empire. Then, as the result of a revolt, the remaining Hebrews were crushed and their Temple destroyed in 70 A.D. and the remaining Hebrews were scattered throughout the Roman Empire. Western Civilizations, E.M. Burns, 8th ed, W.W. Norton& Co., New York, 79, 1973.

It was these numerous dispersions that tended to dilute the original Hebrew blood, because the original Hebrews tended to mix with the populations in which the were located, which has led to the use of the term "NEO-JEW" in this review..

"NEO-JEWS" is a term is used herein that reflects the truer nature of the lack of the ancient Hebrew blood as a continuum in the alleged descendants of today who merely call themselves "Jews".
