There is much of interest in the Old Testament and much of conflict between various parts of the Old Testament.

The following is a brief review of the "facts" that will be followed in turn by comments.

ANTHROPOMORPHISM

Anthropomorphism is the term given for the act of attributing human characteristics to gods and animals. Many of such references are given in the the referenced books of the Old Testament. Wherever it is stated that the "Lord speaks" or the "Lord spoke" or some such attribution to the "Lord" is made, then this approximate figure of 187 mention made in the Torah or Law of the Old Testament is given hereafter.

The grand total of the examples of ANTHROPOMORPHISM (attributing human charactereistics to gods and animals) in the Five Books of Moses, which is the "LAW" (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy) is 187.

Why would the Books of Moses have such a great number of examples of ANTRHOPOMORPHISM?

One answer could be that most people of eary times were illiterate and uneducated and direct references to the "One God" had to be made in order for such people to relate to their everyday life.

Further examples of ANTHROPOMORPHISM (attributing human characteristics to gods and animals) is further found in other books of the Old Testament.

ONE MIGHT OBSERVE THAT ACCORDING TO THE NUMBER OF EXAMPLES OF ANTHROPOMORPHISM, THE "LORD GOD" IS MORE HUMAN THAN HUMANS!!!
